The design of the Collections “Kontessa” and “Ottavia” is the result of a long process of research, which is reflected in the style and in the different materials used. Bags and accessories, functional or charming, in daytime and evening, for ladies with an unique personality.
“Kontessa” is a brand produced by Marigroup, which activity was founded in 1930 in Buti, a small village situated on the mountains surrounding the town of Pisa.Grandfather Giuseppe, set up the production, where he weaved chestnut wood, making over baskets. In the 60’s, father "ILO BUTI" used these ability and creativity to produce the first bags collection.
In 1985 Marisa and Simona Buti took the leadership of the company. In 1989 this heritage of values, experiences, care, dedication and creativity,
brings to the creation of the brand “Kontessa”.
In 2000 Marigroup started the production
of the brands “Kontessa” and “Ottavia”.
